Important!
There are several very important things you need to know before trying to use Backpack.
1. System Requirements. Backpack only works with 32-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista. Sorry Mac users, you are out of luck, unless you dual boot Windows using Boot Camp or Parallels. 64-bit Windows users will have problems, too, but there is a work around.
2. Compatible Blackboard Servers. Only Blackboard Learning System 7.x and 8.x synchronize natively with Agilix Backpack. Backpack does not work with Blackboard 9. Blackboard dropped the compatibility from version 9. There is nothing anyone can do about that, so be prepared to lose functionality when your school upgrades to Blackboard 9. Why did this happen? You will have to ask Blackboard. Also, note that none of the former WebCT servers that are now rebranded as “Blackboard” servers will work.
